High Sierra Lacrosse is offering an Indoor (Box) Lacrosse program for Boys U9 through High School. Girls are eligible as well, or they can chose to learn about and play the women's game at our girls-only sessions (Info on that is next!) . 
 
Program personnel are:

Registration is limited to:

80 youth players

80 High School players

Register by November 22, 2015!

Schedule and teams will be distributed by November 28.

When and Where

  • Reno Sportsdome small field Mondays or Wednesdays.
  • Season begins Nov. 30 and runs through Jan 27.  No play the weeks of Dec. 21 and Dec. 28.
  • U9/11 game time slots will be between 5 pm and 8 pm.
  • U13, U15, and High School game time slots will be between 5 pm and 10 pm
  • Schedule will be built and distributed by Nov 28.

Cost

  • $105 for U9/11
  • $150 for U13, U15 and High School --  includes Box Lacrosse rib pads and slash guards
  • Free for Goalies (reimbursement at the end of the season).  Indoor pads are provided. Discounts available for goalies who wish to buy equipment.  

The Program

U9/U11

  • Outdoor rules
  • Lacrosse Skills and Development
  • Game play each session  

U13 and U15 (through 8th grade, not 9th graders)

  • USBOXLA LACROSSE rules
  • Each player gets indoor rib pads and slash guards as part of their fee
  • First session will cover indoor Box Lacrosse concepts, differences from field lacrosse, rules, and safety
  • Subsequent sessions will be game format

High School (9th - 12th Grade, not 8th graders)

  • USBOXLA LACROSSE rules
  • Teams divided by HS program; Large programs may have multiple teams. Each player gets indoor rib pads and slash guards as part of their fee
  • First session will cover indoor Box Lacrosse concepts, differences from field lacrosse, rules, and safety.
  • Subsequent sessions will be game format .

Other Requirements

All players must wear:

  • NOCSAE approved helmet and mouthpiece
  • Cup
  • Rib pads and slash guards provided as part of fees (U13 and up)
  • Gloves  and shoulder pads
  • League-provided pinney

Post-Season Opportunities

Avalanche Travel Team

  • Provided league jerseys which must be returned
  • Play in 2x tournaments in Jan [TBD]
  • Players interested or selected from local indoor league
  • Roster size 14-18
  • 4x additional practices beyond indoor league
  • Additional fee for floor time and tourney fees
