High Sierra Lacrosse promotes and supports men's and women's lacrosse for grade school, high school, and collegiate participants in the Northern Nevada, High Sierra, and Lake Tahoe region.

6U Coed Lacrosse!

6U lacrosse is a player’s introduction to the game, and focuses on FUN, fundamentals, simple rules of play and good sportsmanship.


Who:  Girls and Boys ages 4 through 6. (Players that were 5 years old or younger on or before August 31, 2017.)

When: Six clinics each Sunday, 9 am to 10:30 am beginning  April 22 and ending May 27

Final scrimmage the weekend of June 2 at the HSLL Championship Tournament in Truckee

Where:  Swope Middle School

Coaches:  Steve Morrow and Cody Hart, with  guest coaches throughout the season

Cost:  $70, plus $30 US Lacrosse Youth Player Annual Membership - www.uslacrosse.org/membership

            Registration fee includes  a pinney


  • Youth Lacrosse Stick (smaller sized sticks are required, up to 37” overall length)

Recommended Stick

  • Boys – Warrior Warp Jr. (legal for up to 10U play) or Warp Mini (for 6U only)
  • Girls – Brine Warp Jr. (legal for up to 8U play) or Warp Mini (for 6U only)

The Warp sticks require no maintenance or adjustment unlike all other available lacrosse sticks.  Having a stick that is ready for play right off the shelf with no break-in or adjustment is critical to your child’s success and FUN factor.

  • Warp sticks can be purchased online through the HSLL WARP store or at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Reno
  • Mouth guard (please make sure it is molded prior to first practice)

  • Cleats (recommended but not required)

  • Play will be with soft lacrosse balls and tennis balls
