TTLA Thanks the Dawgs!
The members of the Dawgs have committed countless hours to TTLA's fund raising efforts over the years. Our sport is better for their involvement and spirit of volunteerism - not to mention they have fun doing it! Tahoe Dawgs members have volunteered their time for the Annual Lake Tahoe Lacrosse Tournaments, the Annual Oktoberfest at Squaw Valley as well as in the realm of coaching, officiating, and administration. They love our sport and have all helped by giving back to our community. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank them for all they do "for the love of the game".
Tahoe Dawgs win the 2011 Fresno Lacrosse Festival!

March, 6 2011 - Tahoe Dawgs Win 2011 Fresno Tournament
The Tahoe Dawgs started the 2011 Fresno Lacrosse Festival with two Saturday games against new programs with very little club tournament experience. The first game pitted the Dawgs against the Ibero Lobos Club from Mexico City. The game quickly turned into a practice session for the Dawgs that ended in a 12-0 shutout. The Dawgs drew the Cal Maritime Academy Club out of Vallejo for the second game and eased off the pedal in the second half cruising to a 14-1 victory. The Dawgs met the 1st seeded Central California team early on the second day of competition. The Dawgs possessed for much of the game and handed the Fresno Club a loss at home while advancing into the championship game. In the championship game the Dawgs faced off against a very familiar opponent in Chico, the same team that had kept the Dawgs from the championship game the previous two years. The two rival teams played a tough, physical game but the Dawgs repeatedly found the net after long possessions that wore down the Chico defense. The Dawgs claimed a 7-3 victory over Chico and a tournament trophy due to their faceoff wins, groundball hustle, physical play, communication on defense, and possession on offense. Thanks to everyone who travelled to Fresno to help with these wins, and thanks to Central CA for putting it all together. Game notes: The Tahoe Dawgs remain undefeated vs. Fresno/Central CA teams. Curt Wegener was voted Tahoe Dawgs MVP for the second year in a row at Fresno. Cody would like a Crantini.
